About the art: Boats and Palms is a series inspired by the serene joy and sense of awakening that comes with being by the water, especially at the coast. I have always felt my spirit come alive and settle down simultaneously while being beside the ocean. The waves, the plams with their playful fronds silhouetting the sky, the boats majestically gliding across the water.. they all come together to create the perfect recipe for feeling peaceful and grounded. These paintings are meant to reflect just that, with a bit of playful energy!

About the art: "Edge of the Marsh" is an abstracted depiction of one's view from the edge of a saltwater marsh, looking inland toward the palms and treeline. This painting takes a more playful approach, offering gestural linework, textured application in certain areas with the use of a palette knife, and fields of color to define changes in hue and depth of field. This canvas was hand-stretched in studio, with love.
